A letter to God

 

GOD

God! 

This world has changed

A lot

Since the day 

you made it.

You made nature

and humans came with it.

You made processes

And techniques came with it.

As Inquisitive individuals

Humans have left all animals behind.

they are more than them

they are the social animals.

Capable of thinking and doing 

forever new things

They made kind of 

small gods out of themselves.

Who could to some extent

Control almost everything

but you-

You are incredible.

You show your presence

hither and thither

sometimes

out of nowhere.

You make humans realise

The Ultimate Truth

YOU ARE 

the creator after all of 

Everything in and around them.

You still play upon their lives

in the form of destiny.

YOU ARE 

still in control.

For it is only YOU

Who can provide solace 

Who can lift us up 

from everything mundane.

Rich Gods, Poor Gods

Gods have become rich 

now-a-days

They dwell in magnanimous structures

Shine in glittering attires.

There is a smile on the idol's face

That more or less seems to be a smirk

With gold and silver all around

They are covered with currency garlands

The flowers around lend an intoxicating smell.

And in those surroundings

They seem to be born with

Silver spoons in their mouth

Big temples, big gods!

I wonder

Are these gods the same

who dwell under banyan trees,

in chowks

and on hills

with only their flags visible

Who knows

if it is a temple at all.

After all

The human race 

has gone a step further

God created humans

humans created class

and they have now

classified the Gods as well!
